Justice for Guantánamo detainee Omar Khadr

Urge Canada to bring the first child combatant ever to be brought before a court for alleged 'war crimes' home.

Omar Ahmed Khadr is a Canadian national who has been held in Guantanamo since July 2002. When he was first taken into US custody he was 15 years old, in violation of international law and standards. Instead of having his status as a minor recognized, Omar Khadr was designated as an enemy combatant, a status not recognized in international law. Amnesty International has been appealing to the Government for his repatriation but a recent judgment by the Canadian Supreme Court has been equivocal.
