The greetings card campaign is an annual event that brings together people around the world and sends thousands of messages of support to prisoners of conscience, people facing sentences of death, human rights defenders under threat because of their work, and others at risk.

When you're writing your cards this year, why not add an extra one or two to the pile and send something that will really make a difference to someone's life. Not only does the campaign make a prisoner of conscience's time in prison easier, or brighten the day of a grieving family but it creates real change as the influx of international mail can make an impression on police, prison staff or political authorities that can help keep them safe.
