I think I would have described us as fairly pro-Palestinian, and whilst I wouldn't have said we were anti-Israeli, we had very limited understanding of an Israeli perspective on the conflict. This time, having become more involved and interested in peace-building activities, and determined to get past the 'them' and 'us' mentality so easy to slip into when working on the issues here, we wanted to spend some more time meeting Israelis and Israeli peace-building organisations.
