Heavy Metal in Baghdad follows the four young men from the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003 until today. The film provides a rare snapshot of what life is like for musicians inside Iraq – how they deal with power cuts, accusations of Satan worship, mortar rounds and sniper fire. It also highlights the plight of 4.7 million Iraqi refugees who have fled to neighbouring countries where they now live in destitution, unable to gain legal employment.
