Based in Northumberland in the north-east of England, Amnesty Northumberland is one of many local groups of Amnesty International UK. The Northumberland group is a new group, we hope to have our first meeting in March 2009. If you would like any more information, please email tess@amnestynorthumberland.co.uk.

The group will be involved in a variety of activities: Campaigns on Arms Control, the Death Penalty, Torture, Women's Rights, Wrongful Imprisonment, Corporate Resposibility and Education. Raising awareness. Fundraising - planning and organising fun events to raise funds and awareness of Amnesty's work. Educational Work. Letter-writing and lobbying.
