Immigration is a political ‘hot potato’ in the UK with migrant workers often finding themselves the targets of resentment and hostility from the press and the public.

At the same time, it is widely acknowledged that the British economy needs migrant workers in order to grow. This discussion will examine some of the arguments around the UK’s immigration policy.
