The POPPY Project was set up in 2003. It is funded by the Office for Criminal Justice Reform (reporting to the Ministry of Justice) to provide accommodation and support to women who have been trafficked into prostitution. It has 35 bed spaces in houses throughout London

  • 4000 you say, I say lets put an end to this now somehow
    but then it's good that the Office for Criminal Justice Reform (reporting to the Ministry of Justice) are paying for those 35 at least yet what about the other 3965 ?

  • The POPPY project does amazing work - but how appalling that it is the only support of its kind in the UK, meaning that only 35 of the estimated 4,000 trafficked women who are being forced into prostitution in the UK can be helped?

Love this site becasue a lot of sites on trafficking are informative for people who want to find out about ti - but this one is also helpful for women who have been trafficked themselves. Great charity.
