Workers in Turkey are denied fundamental rights.

Despite constitutional changes, there continue to be limitations to the right to strike. In the private sector the right to organise and form trade unions falls short of international standards.

A genuine mixed response, whilst we have to wait for more US cooperation and goodwill (the release of the Cuban 5 would go a long way towards this), we remain diplomatic as to the continuing imprisonment of Librarians, Trade Unionists and Journalists.
