Rwandan leader visits jailed aide

Rwandan President Paul Kagame has visited a top aide detained in Germany in connection with a killing that triggered the 1994 genocide.

Rose Kabuye's arrest was a violation of Rwandan sovereignty, he said, and would harm international ties.

Ms Kabuye was detained in Frankfurt on Sunday under a warrant issued by a French judge.

Latest twist in this hard-to-decode situation, playing out in Europe while soldiers are killing civilians just across the Rwandan border in DRC. Some report are even suggesting that Kabuye WANTS to stand trial in France to expose alleged complicty in the Rwandan genoocide by France itself.
