The Ball is over for now

See you at the summer festivals, woooohooo!
Arts & Events for Amnesty

Last year we had a great time at the festivals speaking to thousands of people about Amnesty. If we snapped you then check out our Flickr gallery to find your photo!

Bringing human rights issues to a mainstream audience is vital and the arts play an enormous role in doing this.

Through film, photography, music, fashion, art, comedy, theatre and literature we put the human stories behind the reports of human rights abuses at the heart of public consciousness, bringing voices to voiceless.

Amnesty + arts = a natural connection

Since the First Secret Policeman's Ball in 1979, artists have put themselves on the line for us - just as they know that we are the first to put ourselves on the line for comedians, artists, dissidents and ordinary people around the world.
