Demand rights for Turkish workers

Workers in Turkey are denied fundamental rights.

Despite constitutional changes, there continue to be limitations to the right to strike. In the private sector the right to organise and form trade unions falls short of international standards.

On 3 July, trade unions TUC and NUJ, along with Amnesty UK, held a protest outside the Gambian High Commission to protest the trial of seven journalists for sedition. They had published articles critical of the Gambian President - as is their right in a democratic country.
