Sponsored events are an excellent fundraising idea which can also be linked in with Amnesty's campaigns. You could for example have a sponsored silence which draws attention to countries where freedom of speech is very limited, or cage sits which also highlights basic human rights that have been taken away from so many. Human auctions can raise awareness of modern day slavery- one school auctioned off 6th formers who had to carry the bags and help with the homework of other pupils.
These events work really well in schools, colleges and unis so this could be your protect the human week event and also your first raise-off activity! Multi tasking at its finest..
