Sign the petition and support our challenge for Obama

Campaigns: Security with Human Rights

We are asking Obama to meet our challenge and take concrete steps to counter terror with justice in his first 100 days in office.

Many people are expecting great things from Obama as he comes into office. Here at Amnesty we think his first steps should be to: announce a plan and date to close Guantánamo; to ban torture and other ill-treatment as defined under international law; and to ensure that an independent commission on US “war on terror” abuses is set up.

These demands are part of a Counter Terror with Justice “checklist” of actions Amnesty International is asking Obama to take in his first 100 days in office. We think these aims are achieveable, show you do too and sign the petition now.
