Sometimes I wonder why human beings are so cruel to each other. Just opening your mouth to speak about inhumanity in countries like Zimbabwe or Burma can put you behind bars. It is terrible but we need more people to speak with one voice and challenge these attitudes.
I'm suspicious. Just what is the Burmese Government up to?
I picked up on this too............ssshhhhhh, let's not get too arried or start shouting about - it hasn't happened yet!

View all comments (7 more)Beautiful photos. Thankyou. Brings the country alive for me as I take action from my computor in the UK where I have freedom to do so.
Great movie! Watch it today! And help free Burma!
It is the military junta's fear that keeps Aung San Suu Kyi under house arrest. They have an army of half a million and still they are not free from fear.
We are free. She is not. We are free. The people of Burma are not. We are a democratic people. They are not. Human rights are ignored. Ours are not.
We must help in any way we can to be part of a successful conclusion to the freedom of Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners.
I have the freedom to write my views. The Burmese people do not.
The current situation there has to be changed by peaceful means.
The Burmese people chose Aung San Suu Kyi to lead their country democratically. The Junta crushed that vote and those who supported democracy.
This video is a very good one. I hope it is presented to every democratic government asking for their support.
It helps me to recogonise the glorious and precious but fragile thing that liberty is - what I and so many others take for granted. It is a gift from our forebears and she is like the women of the world who won it for us all. Thank you Aung San Suu Kyi. I will speak for you and Burma.
Aung San Suu Kyi deserves her freedom as do the Burmese people.
