Dear Readers,
I would like to add that I've noticed Jeremy Corbyn MP before and become seriously impressed with his knowledge and unerstanding of human rights issues among many other things. His whole ethos for being in politics is the building of a better world. As an Amnesty member, I put on my Christmas card list.

I have just joined the Protect the Human section of Amnesty. I may not seem active on some of these campaigns, please don't think I'm not interested, I've in most cases done a that is reaonable already, I fear continuous repeat campaigning on the same issues could be detrimental, to the campaign as a whole

I sincerely believe that men should be educated into treating women as human beings and not as objects to be used and abused. When this happens, perhaps their violent tendencies will be totally changed and the first step towards world peace will have been acheived.
Getting away with being violent to another human being is the same as "getting away with murder" - it is too easy to repeat, over and over again and for most men - women and children are easy targets because they are not as strong physically.
Rape and sexual assault should, in my opinion, carry a heavier sentence than murder - as the after effects are permanent!

I thought for a demo organised at very short notice in the middle of a working day, the turn out was not bad...

Heart breaking. Am going to pass it to my friends right now. What is 5 minutes of our time, to send an email, or write a short letter in support of these horrific events. If we all just tell one other person we know, let them decide whether to act or not. Most will. Please just spare 5 minutes today for humans like us.Thank you

I hoped that there would be far more people out demonstrating on such an important matter, I am genuinely suprised at the small turn out, and more than a little diappointed. Will it be noticed?

yes let's talk about the exploitation of rich mineral resources in Kivu like the coltan (used in our mobile phones). The international community should also look seriously into that problem that fuels the all conflict and contribute to human rights violations on the ground.

I'd like to know who is benefiting from this crisis?
