What people are saying about extaordinary rendition

  • this makes me almost ashamed to be human being. my grandfather was in the parchute regiment during WW2 he was captured and tortured by a waffen ss patrol cause he wouldent expose the rest of his mens positions they hit him in the face with rifle butts pulled out his fingernails. now tell me how the hell is that any different from what the C.I.A.are doing they say waterboarding is more humane my arse in parsley it is want to know who invented it the japanese when they were tortureing allied P.O.W.'s

  • Omar Deghayes on Torture and British Intelligence:
Listen to first hand testimony of former Guantánamo detainee describing his interrogation by British Intelligence agent, "Andrew", and others (MI5 and MI6) while held illegally in Pakistan, before being sold into US custody and rendered to Bagram prison in Afghanistan and subjected to torture.

  • What disgusted me more than the scenes of torture in this video, believe it or not, was George W Bush's expression when he said: "These men are killers. They do not share our beliefs."
It would take hours to point out the countless ways in which that statement is not only total hypocrasy, but a terrifying display of this man's lack of cultural education, and total incapacity for empathy for other human beings.
Yes, it is beyond belief. We can only hope that with Bush's days coming to an end, Guantanamo's days are numbered. (One prison down, only a few thousand more worldwide to go.)
