View all comments (7 more)A very personal point of view. I was luckier in having 2 very loving parents and find it horrific that so many women are put in this position. What I find horrific is learning how many women stay in this position. Is it because they know no better or are they so lacking in confidence ? So many women are frightened to be on their own. Why? I have heard some women say they would rather be in a violent relationship than no relationship at all! Why? What makes some children grow up in such a relationship repeat the violence (because they know no better?) whilst others want to make sure they never repeat it? I am sure some psychologists think they have the answers but why is nothing ever done about it?
As someone who has lived through violence as well I can completely relate to his words.
I think it was a very well put together speach. I wish Violence was tackled int he same way as the smoking campaign. Just imagine the difference that could be made!!
It's very a very personal viewpoint of violence against women. The devastating affect it has on members of the family. Domestic violence should no longer be ignored by the community and help should be available for all victims of violence in the home.
Such an intense talk and it should be broadcast weekly on different channels/radio station , in cinemas.
that looks like a good event. I really wanted to see that film. What date is it on and where?
Honest, articulate and moving, given from a personal viewpoint and experience, very welcome. Shows firsthand the effects on a child, and the feeling of misplaced responsibilty, the effects that domestic violence has on all members of family. Highlights important issues of shame, embarrasment and ignorance. WATCH IT.
Pure Genius! intelligent, subtle, amazingly brilliant actress and stand up, sexy and cute! I like her!
If you dont get this humour you should seek therapy , honestly!
