There should be more interest in this case, Jorge Velásquez needs all the support he can get. I would be interested in an update on what (if anything) has happened since this was posted.
Now 4 years after this was posted, there are still hundreds (if not thousands) of women being killed in Guatemala

One can only admire Jorge Velásquez's courage in his fight for justice for his daughter and womankind in his country in the face of such indifference from the authorities. The lucid expression of his thoughts is a riposte to such attitudes.
