Worth checking out this blog if you want to know more about forced evictions in Africa.

Acknowledging that this is wrong is the beginning of fighting human rights abuse. Well done.
this happens everywhere there are slums in new york ,paris ,london the whole world you need to look at the roots of the problem wto imf and all thoes brothers who bunkrupted haiti and the african countries
to target a specific government is scratching the surface at best if not trying to divert from the problem itself this kind of reporting is very biased
and iam not even pro government
Haiti is said to have low economy profile and weak government. It’s just so sadden that they need to suffer the earthquake tragedy that destroys their small infrastructures and took away the lives of their love ones. Payday loans are not enough to rebuild their homes and other properties that been destroyed, that is why I’m appealing to all people who have kind heart that it is our time to share what we have, penny, dollar, in-goods and even prayers will be a great help for Haitians. Let’s hope that there will be no natural calamity/ disaster like this that will happen in any part of the world. Let’s start protecting our natures, since this kind of calamity is said to be nature’s karma. Let this be an eye-opener and a gate to all of our hearts that it is time to share and give love to those people in need. God bless us all!

View all comments (6 more)Great clip, thought provoking, great to hear that someone is recognising the wider issues in relation to poverty in Kenya
Best wishes to all in the Deep Sea Community and those standing with them.
good to hear how amnesty is supporting these groups
Really interesting - I think the issue of temporary crisis housing is such a big one to tackle and it seems no-one has quite answered it yet. If you're interested in 'architecture for good', I have this book sat on my shelf at home and it's really quite good: http://designlikeyougiveada...
I think this could be a good idea
Another worthwhile campaign by Amnesty.
