This could be the most significant progress for democracy since the fall of the Berlin wall. Only time will tell, but it does make the student protests look a little tame.

I agree with Unicorn27's comments noting that this is also disproportionately used aganst women and also for non violent 'crimes' such as adultery with poor levels of evidence or proof.

This is an incredible story - I really hope all the media attention she gets helps her to win her case and prevent other women from being put in the same position.
