This is disgraceful...

I posted this on the "We are the Romany people" site on facebook. I get a reply from a non-Romany suggesting it served these people right for being theives. This is an example of the sort of prejustice is what we're up against. What was more alarming were some of the comments on the Amnesty facebook page.

Just a couple of comments that I found at the end of the article:

I totally agree with you comment on this piece

The situation in Iran is quite worrying. I agree with Alex. Let's take action and help these incredibly brave people!

Nowadays, married couples not only rely both on love. but of course, their finances. They vreally wan to be secured on money mattersWhere does the line get drawn between love and money? Or is there one? If a rich person is getting pursued by a person who isn't rich – that's one thing, but if couples are serious about each other, there has to be financial communication. If one person has their act together, and is paying off debt, and the other is constantly running for payday loans, this will create problems. As a couple, you have to hash these things out – work out financial goals, meet or exceed them, and have everything planned to the tee. That way, you can have the security of love and money that makes for a great relationship.

How anybody can to this to another human being is beyond me. My love and support always. A xx
