Women play a very significant role in the family. The future of the children lies on their hands. One of the common chores of women is to prepare food. To avoid suffering from any food related problems, they should be knowledgeable about the nutritional value of any food or drinks taken by the children. A recent news states that some brands of fruit juice contains excessive amount of arsenic. Arsenic interferes with cellular longevity by allosteric inhibition of an essential metabolic enzyme. Symptoms of arsenic poisoning include headache, confusion, convulsion, diarrhea, vomiting, and in severe cases coma and death. The FDA’s limit is 23 parts per billion for juice, as the FDA believes that people will consumer more water than juice in a day. Therefore, the agency allows more arsenic in juice because the greater consumption of water will “balance out” the greater arsenic content. Read more: http://www.newsytype.com/13...

Subjugation of women in whatever extremity and/or by whatever means (cultural, religious, political, socio-economic) - anywhere in world - is wrong. Period.
I see a lot of finger-pointing in instances like these, the so-called "West" here talking about how backward "muslim" countries are with regard to women's rights, yet I see a right-wing agenda in the USA that basically wants to control women's rights. How is that more advanced?
There is no gender equality in plenty of powerful institutions in the so-called "developed nations", the military, church organizations, etc. - women are still discriminated against. Employment policies in the USA still have serious gender disparities making women apply for no credit check loans more often.
My point is for us as a society in general to see a story like this and immediately begin assessing blame and claiming some superiority while the same thing (albeit under different guises) is happening in our own backyards, does nothing to advance the cause of gender equality.
At the end of the day, let's not forget that women are human beings - and women's rights are really - human rights.
IT IS ABSOLUTLY DISGUSTING, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT MAKING THESE GIRLS TAKING VIRGINITY TESTS
1984 will never be forgotten. I was only ten at the time and I saw the devastation left behind by the Indian Government at the most holiest place of the Sikhs. The Golden Temple.I remember it like yesterday. Attacks on Sikhs and their Gurus have not stopped. Recently the burning and tearing of the Guru Granth Sahib, The living Guru. This happened last week in Uttar Pardesh advocated by RSS a Hindu Extremist Organization. This will only stop when the Sikh Nation are Free.
unbelievable..where's the justice

The blog on the external link is very interesting. This is something i am still learning about as i delve more deeply into Punjabi culture and although at times the information i find makes hard reading, we owe it to ourselves to be educated and do everything we can to prevent such atrocities happening again. Thank you Harbakhsh Grewal Ji
Ridiculous is one word that comes to mind!!!!!
