I agree with Unicorn27's comments noting that this is also disproportionately used aganst women and also for non violent 'crimes' such as adultery with poor levels of evidence or proof.

This is va step backwards in women's rights. This law opposes the equality of women who have suffered for years under the Taliban. This law needs to be repealed.
Came on to PTH specifically to bookmark this - but see you already have! Unbelievable - and so blatant when everyone is looking at the country ahead of the elections.
