  • Very interesting.
I recently read a new book that denounces the subject, in fact, it was that novel that opened my eyes to this issue. Of course it is only entertainment, but sometimes this is the way to raise awareness on the general public. The book is called Coltan, by spanish author Alberto Vazquez-Figueroa. Check it out!

ZigZag's thoughts:

80% of the world's coltan, a mineral vital to mobile phones and wireless devices, comes from Eastern Congo, where a civil war has claimed millions of lives over the past decade. The region is again suffering -strangely- after President Kabila has signed a big contract with China, allowing them to exploit their mineral resources in the North Kivu.
