He is right, people are lazy, generally they either do care but don't know what to do about it and don't try to find out as they are only one person and believe what difference will they make or are too justifiably wrapped up in their own problems to actively do something.
Or worse case they don't care as they think it doesn't affect them but don't realise it does affect them in ways they never know and it is theirs and collectively everyone's ignorance that is making it worse!
Hopefully Amnesty will make that difference now....
