  • The lies and deceit of the British government on torture and rendition should be exposed, and the guilty individuals should be brought to justice. But it probably will not happen. Our despicable leaders will get away with yet another crime against humanity.

  • Last month I attended a talk by ex-detainee Moazzam Begg, in which we were given details of his years at Guantanamo and the circumstances under which he was placed there.
The US government, aided by our own (British), has been detaining people with an absolute lack of regard for human rights laws and its own constitution. Innocent people are being rendered, detained and TORTURED under these "terror" investigations when it is clear (and known to all) that they have no connection with terrorism.
It makes me feel physically sick to hear America referred to as the "Land of Freedom" and as her lapdog/playground suckup, Britain is equally accountable.
It is good to see that there are intelligent American lawyers on the case, but each one of us needs to make a stand in every way possible against this kind of disgusting disregard for humanity!

Watch "Taxi to the Dark Side" for more details from Moazzam Begg and others.

  • Even though we know so much of this, it is still utterly devastating to hear it all again from this wonderful lawyer. I would like to express my thanks to her and all the other lawyers involved with Guantanamo for sticking out their necks to help so many others
