  • The essence of resistance and dissent, when things are really bad and injustice and violence is all around, is never 'accepting' that this is how it is, and so this is how it will always be. If that happens then we're all lost. It is interesting to hear Arundhati speak of how resistance matters and how it can become absorbed by those in power, almost as a way of maintaining a 'status quo' - thats frightening, I don't wan't to beleive that. I want to believe in major changes and a wonderful future.
